So last week I had a 27 hour layover in Washington, DC I officially have a new love affair with this fabulous city! It was my first time ever visiting our great nations capital and I can't wait to go back with my hubby sometime soon for more sightseeing! It has all the elements of a great busy bustling city like NYC, except it is much cleaner and smells better than New York. Speaking of smells you can just smell the politics, money, and power as you walk through the streets of DC it is craziness. So myself and another Flight Attendant I was working with went exploring.
A few stops we visited were....
- The White House
- National Mall (aka a giant, long, grassy knoll)
- National Aviation and Space Museum... free admission and such a neat museum if you love all things airplanes and space exploration!
- The Pentagon Memorial soo emotional and moving.
- Old George Town....so cute with a bunch of shops, bakeries, and restaurants.
If you haven't ever been to Washington, DC......GO GO GO!!! You wont regret it!
Here are a few photos of all the crazy uniforms FA ( Flight Attendants) have wore in the past few decades.
